002083: Manifest of Ship Groton
20 August 1832
Ship passenger manifest for the Ship Groton, which arrived 20 August 1832 at the Port of New York from Le Havre, France. Richard Baker, captain.
Tears and missing portions of the paper obscure the full names and ages of this Voisin family. However the remaining portions are consistent with the family of Henry Joseph Voisin and his brother Peter Joseph Voisin, both of whom were farmers who immigrated from France about 1832.
"_____ Voisin, 30" is likely Henry Joseph "Joseph" Voisin [I02043], age 30.
"_____ Maria Voisin, 26" is likely Anne Marie (Ditner) Voisin [I02175], about 28.
"_____enri? Voisin, 4" is likely Joseph Voisin [I02181], age 5.
"_____ra Voisin, 3" is likely Marie Anne (Voisin) Brinig [I02177], age 3.
"_____ Joseph Voisin, 25" is likely Peter Joseph "Joseph" Voisin [I00688], age 25.
They are listed next to the Grasser family, who is known to have settled in Waterloo County, Ontario, where Peter Joseph Voisin settled.
