Ruth Stewart, 84, of North Huntingdon, formerly of North Versailles, died Thursday, April 15, 2004, in Briarcliff Pavilion, North Huntingdon. She was born Dec. 1, 1919, in Braddock, a daughter of the late John and Mary Barkin Stewart. Prior to retirement, she was employed as a registered nurse by Braddock General Hospital. She was a member of St. Robert Bellarmine Church of North Versailles. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Stewart; two nephews, Gary Rogers and Raymond Matulevic; and 12 brothers and sisters. Surviving are two sisters-in-law, Agnes Stewart, of North Huntingdon, and Mary McWhinney, of Jeannette; and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received Sunday from 2 to 9 p.m. in the JOSEPH F. OTT FUNERAL HOME INC., 504 Oak St., Irwin. A funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday at 10 a.m. in the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Irwin. Entombment will follow in New St. Joseph Cemetery, North Versailles. John F. Ott assisting the family with arrangements.
